The Parish Council is responsible for three Recreation Grounds as well as other areas of land in Pevensey Parish which is uses for leisure proposes.
Pevensey Recreation Ground – Wallsend Road, Pevensey, BN24 5LA
This area provides children with playground facilities, including swings and a climbing frame. There is also a large area for playing ball games. Benches are available. Children’s’ Play Area – Includes balance beams, wobble boards, suspended stepping logs, stepping stones, toddler swings, toddler slide/small climbing equipment, junior swings, accessible multiply slides/climbing frame.
- Car Parking – Car park adjacent or in Cattle Market in Pevensey village (payment required).
- No dogs allowed in the play area.
- Picnic Area.
- Toilets – nearest public toilets is 300 yards in Pevensey village
Coast Road Playground – Coast Road, Pevensey Bay, BN24 6LP
This area which is 100 yards from the Beach, provides children with playground facilities, including a wooden train, a slide, swings, roundabout and a climbing frame. There is also a large area for playing ball games. The area also provides outdoor Gym equipment for those over 12 years of age.
- Car Parking is on street only.
- No dogs allowed in the play area.
- Toilets – nearest public toilets is 500 yards
Small Skate Park and Half Pipe – Wallsend Road, Pevensey, BN24 5LB
This area provides a shelter seating area and a skate half pipe.
- Car Parking – Park in Pevensey Bay or Pevensey Village and walk
- No dogs allowed
- Toilets – nearest public toilets are in Pevensey Bay and Pevensey
Pevensey Bay Allotment Society – Situated off Waverley Gardens, Pevensey Bay.
The Parish Council has an allotment site at the end of Waverley Gardens. There are 88 allotments in total. The allotments offer an opportunity to harvest nature’s bounty in a pleasant setting next to one of the villages parks. To discuss being part of this vibrant community contact the Lettings Secretary.

Pevensey Bay Boat Berths – Situated off Val Prinseps Road, Pevensey Bay
The Parish Councils owns and rents in excess of 20 boat berths, giving direct access to the sea for small pleasure craft. This offers the opportunity for recreational sailing along the beautiful Sussex coastline. Contact the Parish Clerk to find out if any are available to rent.
