Pevensey Parish Council is pleased to begin marking the arrival and upcoming display of the Bayeux Tapestry in London, which famously depicts this historic landing (Et Venit Ad Pevensae) and the events that followed.
As we look ahead to 2027: The Year of the Normans, celebrating 1,000 years since William the Conqueror’s birth , we encourage local organisations and businesses to join us in celebrating Pevensey’s unique place in history.
