DESCRIPTION:SCARECROWS ARE BACK FOR 2022 \n28th MAY to 11th JUNE \nPut the date in your diary – and your thinking cap on ! \nThis year is our Queens Diamond Jubilee \nIn celebration lets make our villages \nRED WHITE AND BLUE \nAs ever you can make a scarecrow to any theme you like but we thought \nit would be great if we make that royal connection \nIf you are going away for the bank holiday – just display your scarecrow before you go. \nCash prizes will be awarded for \n1) OUR QUEEN \n2) A RIGHT ROYAL TABLEAU \nBoth will be judged on the Bank Holiday Weekend by our sponsors MASON BRYANT \nWe have missed our smiling visitors for the last 2 years so lets make a grand comeback \n  \nGet thinking and get making – I am already starting on mine \n  \nOUR QUEEN can be a “look alike” or a “caricature” \n  \nWhy not get together with friends or neighbours to really impress with a \nRIGHT ROYAL TABLEAU \nThis group can include any royal family members and even a corgi or two ! \nOr maybe even a street party \n  \nIf you prefer to make something else then you are welcome to do that but \nwould be good if it has a red/white/blue theme \nIf you have some bunting then get it out \n  \nLets make a huge effort to cheer up ourselves and passers \nafter these past two years of stress and lockdowns \nLets show Covid   –  you won’t keep us down ! \n  \nTO ENTER \nMake your scarecrow/scarecrows – start planning now \nWhere to put it/them – definitely where they can be easily seen \nIt would be good to have some on the main roads (especially the groups) \nGrass areas entering the villages – Eastbourne Road and Wallsend Road \nEnd of Castle Drive – entrance to Beachlands \nIf you use your garden – can it be easily seen from the road ? \nChose a site where you can make your scarecrow safe and secure \nMake sure there aren’t any sharp bits to harm anyone \nIf you are going to make a tableau and have a place in mind claim your patch on our page \nDisplay your scarecrow anytime from 28th May \nIT MUST be in place for judging by Thursday 2nd June 10am \n  \nTake a photo of your scarecrow \nPOST IT ON SCARECROW FACEBOOK PAGE \nHints : Clear\, bright and fairly close up to show detail \nThis is important as the judges will be looking on FACEBOOK before they set out \nWith your photo include your scarecrows NAME AND LOCATION \nMake sure the details are clear so the judges can find your scarecrow \nSo its PHOTO – SCARECROWS NAME – LOCATION \n(you can post your photo and details as soon as you have made your scarecrow) \n  \nAfter judging the winners will be posted on the Facebook page \nIf your scarecrow is there send us a private message with your contact details \nWe will deliver your prize \nThe Scarecrow Trophy will go to the best overall \nThe judges decision is final \n  \nPLEASE DO JOIN IN THIS YEAR AND MAKE IT SPECIAL \n  \nAny questions ? please post on our page \nor \ncall Lin on 01323 768530 (between 9am and 6pm only)

DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Vehicles of Yesteryear meet which will be held on Saturday 2nd April 2022 at the Sea Road Car Park\, Pevensey Bay. \nThe event is sponsored by masonbryant\, a local Estate Agent\, but is one of the events overseen by Pevensey Parish Council. \nIt is important that you note the change of email address and only use: \nPevenseyVintageVehicles@gmail.com \nIf you have already been in touch on the previous email address about this year\, then you need to respond again to this one\, as the old account cannot be accessed. \nMike Pursglove and Geoff Bryant who have organised the event in previous years will be providing all the advice needed and will be present on the day. Please do not contact them directly. \nThe car park is available from 8.30 a.m. and we would ask that all vehicles are in place by 9.45 a.m. The event starts at 10am and ends between 3.00-4.00 pm. \nCommunication can only be undertaken by email and no forms are being sent out by post. \nPlease note there will be no stallholders this year. The Information Centre and toilets will be open and hot food and drinks are available locally. The Library will also be open and the Gardeners Club have their Spring Show in the Baptist Church. \nThere will be no access to entrants without an entry number clearly displayed! \n  \n \n  \n  \n
